Argentina´s expat living in Spain Facu Regalia was one of the main protagonists during third and final day of Formula V8 3.5´s collective testing at Circuito de Jerez. Regalia drove for RP Motorsport and set 9th-fastest lap time




After his first outing on Monday afternoon and Tuesday with Durango Racing Team, Regalia joined RP Motorsport to take part in the morning session.



Regalia divided his time between different runs with old and new tires. At the beginning, he started on an used set of tires to explore brake references and learn how the RP Motorsport´s car worked.



 Later, he mounted a set of new tires and Argentina´s driver took advantage from them to clock a lap time of 1:27.402, his personal best today. At the end of the session, he made another attempt with a second set of new tires but with higher track temperatures he couldn´t improve his previous lap.



Facu and his working group give a positive assessment regarding this first test in the Formula V8 3.5. They will continue working to confirm Facu´s return to the international scene next year in the series.



Facu Regalia: “Our work was pretty good and I completed 41 laps, which were rather positive. RP Motorsport and I worked so well together.



Despite due to logistical reasons we only carry out today´s morning session, our goal was to speed up my adaptation because this car felt slightly different to Durango´s one.



We only had to make a few changes. On used tires, I made it into the top-5 but with new tires I think both the car and myself have room for improvement. When everyone else was running on new tires, we focused on other areas and then, when I used them, track temperature changed.



Anyway, we made amazing progress even when our lap time isn´t that brilliant. I should also like to thank Giuseppe Cipriani (Durango Racing Team) and Fabio Pampado (RP Motorsport) for their invitation and effort.



Despite I would have expected a better result, my feedback was very positive. Now, we need to focus on working to put together a project in the Formula V8 3.5 next year.”
