THOMAS BIAGI'S ENTHUSIASM HEADING TO A "REAL” CIRCUIT LIKE PORTIMAO
The Superstars Series will be back on track from tomorrow on for the third round of the season in Portimao, valid for the International classification only.
A positive memory is bound to the Portuguese track as the reigning champion Thomas Biagi in 2010 set his first pole position in the series organized by Roma Formula Futuro.
The Italian driver will aim at a good result at the wheel of the number 1 M3 BMW lined up by Team BMW Italy that will not have any sportive ballast on board as stated in the regulations, on the contrary to some of his main rivals in the title fight.
Thomas Biagi:
"I believe that Portimao, together with Spa and Mugello is one of the nicest circuits in Europe: all of them have up and downhills and important driven sectors where the driver can make a difference.
In the last two weeks I put great care in my athletic preparation that is becoming more and more important as hottest months of the year are approaching; also, my role of coach of the drivers preparing the race at the simulator of Grid GP gave me the chance to revise in advance the crucial points of the circuit".
