The Superstars Series is about to live in Imola the second round of the season, valid both for the Italian Championship and the International Series. The 'State of the art in world car racing' tis back on the Santerno's banks after one year of absence in an event that will celebrate the 100th race.
Thomas Biagi will take on track an his BMW M3 E92 prepared by Team Dinamic with a new livery. The Bolognese driver will run his home race, where a high number of supporters will be awaited for Sunday.
Weather forecasts schedule clear or partially clouded sky for Saturday and Sunday with temperature close to 15 degrees Celsius.
Thomas Biagi: "In 2010 I won my first race in Superstars Series at Imola, a victory that was special to me as this is a race track I am particularly bond to. For this reason I decided to wait this round to take on track a new livery that will colour my BMW for the rest of the season.
I get to this weekend third in the classification, a position that comes from the two fourth places obtained in the season opener of Monza, a circuit that did not suit best the our BMW M3. The Santerno's track will probably propose a twofold situation: the mixed sector should be favourable to us, while in the long straight from Rivazza to Tamburello it will be complicated to keep at bay the cars equipped with higher capacity engines.
The spectacle on track is certainly going to be top class, and as happened in Monza, I expect a lot of fans that will traditionally use the free ticket".
